Steampunk High Tea and Tweed Ride

The Dunedin Steampunk Society took over the Gasworks to help celebrate the 100 year birthday of the Bryan Donkin booster engine, which was still able to contribute noise and movement to the occasion!

What a great day. High tea and birthday cake from Mandy Mayhem-Bullock’s beautiful counter. The crockery was most befitting for such a fine spread. Thank you Mandy.

While the Dunedin Steampunk Society were setting up at the Dunedin Gasworks, the annual Tweed Riders, including penny farthings and riders from as far afield as Ōamaru, took off heading to Glenfalloch Gardens. What a glorious day to be biking along the Otago Peninsula.
