It’s November - one year until the Trust hosts the next Ōtepoti Dunedin Heritage Festival.
To celebrate, we’re hosting a small number of tours over 12 - 13 and 19 - 20 November this year.
First up, a rare opportunity to visit St Dominic's Priory. This landmark Dunedin building is an outstanding example of gothic architecture, virtually unchanged since its construction in 1877. Our guide Sean Toomey is involved with the Priory's redevelopment, and will share insights into the building's past and future.
Tickets are limited, and sold out quickly last year, so book yours now!
Tales From Darkest Dunedin is offering a range of tours, including guided walks around the Northern, Southern and Andersons Bay Cemeteries, and a Historical City walk around Dunedin's CBD. The tours are hosted by local historian and experienced tour guide Gregor Campbell, and include tales of murder, suicide, shipwrecks, the national anthem and tinned pineapple.
25% of your ticket price will be donated to the Southern Heritage Trust.

Gregor is also running cemetery tours on Armistice Day, to remember some of the local men who served and suffered in the Great War. These tours are free but numbers are limited, so please book for the morning or evening tours if you would like to attend.
