Our heritage festival is a hugely popular event run every two years, celebrating Dunedin’s outstanding heritage in a variety of different ways. This is run collaboratively with other groups, with the Trust as the lead. Examples have been a Heritage Festival in conjunction with the University of Otago during its 150th celebrations; a festival run concurrently with the Vogel Street Party and an industrial heritage festival. We hold a variety of activities within each heritage festival, such as open buildings, open lectures and the historic shoreline guided walk and theatre performances.
Our next heritage festival will be run in 2021, with the theme of heritage re-use. We’re working on this now and super-excited about 2021!
