THE GREENEST BUILDING IS THE ONE THAT’S ALREADY BUILT, THE GREENEST MATERIALS ARE THE ONES THAT ARE ALREADY MADE

Presented by: Jeremy Moyle, Archaeologist/Heritage Consultant, Origin Consultants Ltd.

In  this talk, Jeremy will discuss the opportunities that heritage  buildings and building materials present in addressing issues around  construction and demolition waste, and embodied carbon in New Zealand’s  building industry.

He  is responsible for archaeological projects in Dunedin and East Otago,  with a particular interest in the archaeology of buildings.

Originally  from Christchurch, Jeremy has a BA in Anthropology, with first class  honours, from the University of Otago and an MA from the Memorial  University of Newfoundland in Canada. Based in Origin’s Dunedin office,  alongside archaeological work, Jeremy is completing an architectural  technology qualification and working on his own heritage listed house.
