Past Present Future: Ōtepoti Dunedin Book Project

Entry deadline: 17 September

Otago Art Society

The Otago Art Society  and the Southern Heritage Trust are teaming up to run a creative schools project for the Ōtepoti Dunedin Heritage Festival 2025 and the Otago Art Society Ryman Healthcare Spring Exhibition 2025.

Students in Years 1 - 8 are invited to respond to one of three local heritage sites through creative work.

They can:

  • write a story or poem

  • design an idea for the city harbour area

  • create a drawing or painting

This project is open to all primary and intermediate schools in Ōtepoti Dunedin. It’s a unique opportunity for young people to connect with the city’s past, imagine its future, and see their work celebrated as part of two major cultural events, including the Otago Art Society’s 150th anniversary in 2025.

Deadline for entries is 17th September.
