Andy Bay is the largest and most recent of Dunedin's three main cemeteries. One of the gravestones it contains should literally not be there - it was installed without a permit. There are many soldiers buried and commemorated there; one died on New Zealand's worst and most fatal day of combat.
We also find Dunedin's famous hermit of Flagstaff Hill, the first New Zealand death of World War 2, a mass grave (not reported in newspapers of the day) of victims to the Spanish Flu pandemic during 1918 and much more.
