Membership

By becoming a member of the Southern Heritage Trust you can help promote the appreciation and preservation of Otago’s social, cultural, architectural and industrial heritage.

You can play a vital role in the work of the Trust and your subscription will help to fund our activities.

As a member of the Trust you will enjoy the following benefits:

•    receive regular newsletters

•    take part in Trust functions, tours and other heritage related activities and events

•    receive a 10% discount on all Trust products.

There are several aspects of our work in which you can become involved if you wish, for example:

•    publications: information search, writing, editing, proofreading, photography, graphic design

•    trails: development of new trails, trail guiding

•    rosters/reception: Sexton’s Cottage, Savoy afternoon teas, Gasworks Museum

•    website: updating, data input

•    fundraising

The cost for a single membership is $25 and for a double membership it is $40.  Memberships are for one calendar year and must be renewed each year.  You are also welcome to make a tax deductible donation to the work of the Trust.

Please include:

  • your name
  • full address
  • phone number
  • any activities you are happy to help the Trust with
  • if you wish to make a donation and for how much
  • and if it is a single or a double membership

Or complete the form in our Southern Heritage Trust pamphlet (available from the Sexton’s Cottage at the Northern Cemetery) and return it with payment to the Treasurer (address below).
